Fantastic Mr. Fox is an animated film based on the Roald Dahl book of the same name. The film will be made using the same stop motion photography technique used in The Nightmare Before Christmas and James and the Giant Peach.
The film's plot revolves around a clever fox who outwits three mean-spirited farmers, Boggis, Bunce and Bean, who are angry with him for stealing their livestock in order to feed his family. Because the book's story only covers what would be a film's second act, writers Anderson and Baumbach had to add scenes to create the film's opening and ending.
The film is being produced by Fox Animation Studios.
